Postpartum meals rooted in reverence, ritual, and the simple & sacred practices of nourishment.
Welcome to Moonlight Kitchen, where postpartum is sacred, and food is a form of love.
We offer deeply nourishing, warming meals for new mothers in the tender days after birth. Inspired by ancestral traditions and prepared with devotion, our food is meant to hold you while you hold your baby. This is nourishment that goes beyond calories—this is care, warmth, rest, and remembrance.
You don’t need to plan, cook, or think. You just open the door, breathe in the scent of bubbling broths and cinnamon, and receive.
On the menu
Our mission is to nurture new mothers with warm, nutrient-dense food and soul-deep care. Through broths, stews, herbal infusions, and sweet rituals of the hearth, we help create space for healing, rest, and remembrance of what it means to be held in community.
At Moonlight Kitchen, we believe postpartum is sacred—a time to slow down, be nourished, and feel deeply supported. Rooted in the teachings of Innate Traditions and Ayurvedic wisdom, we offer lovingly prepared meals that honor the wisdom of the body, the power of ancestral care, and the profound transition from maiden to mother.
Why Moonlight Kitchen?
Birth is not the end of the story—it’s the beginning of one. And mothers deserve to be honored in that beginning, not left to figure it out on their own.
At Moonlight Kitchen, we believe that the postpartum period is sacred. It is a time of massive transformation, raw beauty, deep vulnerability, and immense power. And it is a time when new mothers need to be fed—truly fed.
Our meals are designed to do more than fill your belly. They are created to nourish your nervous system, support lactation, warm your digestion, and ground you in your body. Inspired by the traditions of postpartum care around the world, every soup, stew, and spoonful is made with deep intention, organic ingredients, and the wisdom of those who came before us. We cook like the aunties and grandmothers would: slow, tender, reverent.
Because every mother deserves to be held—physically, emotionally, spiritually—and we believe food is one of the most powerful ways to do that.

“Marissa’s warm heart shines through in her cooking and her presence. She brings a reassuring, comforting sweetness with her when she visits, and everything she cooks is deeply nourishing and delicious. Marissa and the meals and snacks she brought were such a blessing in my postpartum time!”

Meet Marissa
I’m a mother, postpartum doula, chef, Reiki Master-Teacher, and sound healing practitioner. Through Moonlight Kitchen, I offer postpartum meals rooted in ritual, rest, and deep nourishment. My work is grounded in the belief that healing after birth happens through community, ceremony, warm food, and the power of presence.
The rhythmic sounds of bubbling broths and simmering stews, the rich scent of melting vanilla bean ghee and cinnamon fill the air and transform the home into a cocoon of comfort and nourishment. In these moments, the kitchen is a sacred space, a hearth where generations of care and wisdom can be felt, where mothers can simply breathe, rest and receive. As I stir the soup pot or knead the dough, it feels as if my own grandmothers are there beside me, their presence woven into each movement, guiding my hands as I cook.
This is the heart of Moonlight Kitchen: nourishment as love, care as ceremony.
